A patients story:
“If I could regain and harness all the time and energy I’ve ever spent agonising over my hair (or lack of) I could probably power the whole of London for over a year. I’ve literally spent hours painstakingly clipping it up in obscure ways in the attempt to make my hair look “normal”. Exhausting.
I’ve tried to be philosophical about the scarring and extremely thin patches of hair that cover my scalp, but at the end of the day it’s a matter of confidence and feeling comfortable in your body. They don’t call hair your “crowning glory” for nothing.
The work that Rae does is incredible. I feel so lucky to have had her recommended to me. She works with such care, attention to detail, warmth & empathy. Her enthusiasm is utterly contagious and instead of feeling awkward about “baring all” infront of her, she makes you feel like a masterpiece.
The tattooing is done so skillfully that far from being painful, I actually find it relaxing!
Rae’s work has changed my life. I now have the confidence to wear my hair in whichever way I want to and this confidence is reflected in all that I do. Instead of wasting energy on being self conscious I can focus on what really matters, enjoying life!”
Photographs regarding the previous post on scalp pigmentation. This patient had been living with anxiousness and insecurity over her lack of hair, and had spent hours a day covering it with clips etc. So far, I have seen her for 3 sessions and have managed to cover most of the areas. We will need at least another 2 sessions for the other side of her scalp.
